About Kingsport

Kingsport is one of the Tri-Cities in Northeast Tennessee. It is located in Sullivan and Hawkins counties; most of the city is in Sullivan County and the city is the largest in both counties. It was nicknamed the "Model City" from a plan which organized the town into areas for commerce, churches, housing and industry. The estimated population of Kingsport is 52,698. Living in Kingsport offers residents a dense suburban feel and most residents own their homes. Kingsport is the home of one of the largest employers in Tennessee, Eastman Chemical Company. In Kingsport there are a lot of parks and outdoor activities. Many young professionals and retirees live in Kingsport and residents tend to be somewhat conservative. The public schools in Kingsport are highly rated.
